|The self-guided walking tour of Warren Street, Hudson’s mile-long commercial thoroughfare, was published in August 2003. It provides an overview of the history and architecture of Hudson and describes notable buildings observed as one walks from Promenade Hill, overlooking the Hudson River, east along Hudson’s main street.Warren Street is the first of a series of walking tour guides being produced by Historic Hudson, which will eventually cover all areas of the city. The next guide, available in the early summer of 2004, will cover the First Ward, the area south of Warren Street and west of Third Street—Hudson’s oldest intact neighborhood. The walking tour guides are written by David W. Voorhees, with editorial assistance from Byrne Fone and Carole Osterink. They are designed by Robert Mechling.
